The VT PCC Wins Gold!
During the annual National PCC Day event September 16, 2009, the VT PCC was awarded Gold Level status for it's work during the 2008-2009 fiscal year. This award would not have been realized without the efforts of our Executive Board, Members and Sponsors. Of the over 200 PCC's nationwide, only 39 were awarded Gold. We all deserve to be proud of this accomplishment and look forward to continuing to bring you quality events, networking opportunities and informative educational workshops. Keep up the great work!

VT PCC Member Receives Award - Congratulations Bath Fitter!
Each year, the USPS recognizes a select group of postal customers for their contributions to the continued success of the mailing industry. This year, Bath Fitter won the Strategic Business Development Award from the United States Postal Service. Kevin Neville (pictured, center), Commercial Business Development Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the printing department, at the 2009 National Postal Forum Awards Luncheon on May 18th, 2009 in Washington, D.C. Kevin is pictured here with Timothy Haney (left), USPS Vice President, Area Operations-Northeast Area and Patrick Donahoe (right), USPS Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer.
In 2006, Bath Fitter took a bold step toward implementing a self-contained, self-sufficient marketing strategy; a full service, in-house print and mail shop at the Saint-Eustache plant. Franchises have been benefitting from direct mail pieces mailed out on their behalf ever since. Over the 3 years Bath Fitter has had its own printing shop, the number of outgoing mailers has risen significantly. The print shop’s first year saw 11 million mailers go out. By the 2nd year, 33 million had gone out, and by the 3rd, 56 million. This steady, impressive increase in outgoing mail put Bath Fitter in the running for an award. “They’re always working to improve their operations and provide customers with a mail product that delivers increased value and business results. And the mailing industry benefits overall,” says the USPS regarding why Bath Fitter received the nod. Today, with the help of the USPS, Bath Fitter mails out 1.2 million mailers per week.
Kevin Neville, who now works in the commercial division, was instrumental in initiating the in-house print shop at the Saint-Eustache location. He says that once the print shop was set up and they began working with the USPS to mass mail, Bath Fitter was able to develop a strong and solid working relationship with USPS. “It’s been a partnership, we worked very closely with one another from the get go,” he said.
Bath Fitter’s printing department and the USPS will undoubtedly continue to work together—making sure homes everywhere receive our mailers!
